     Welcome to the SEAS Program

Formerly known as Rio Verde Academy, the SEAS (Social Emotional Academic Support) Program is part of the West Covina Unified School District (WCUSD). We are an educational program developed specifically to serve the needs of K–12 children and young adults aged 18–22 diagnosed with emotional disturbance (ED). We tailor our programs to meet the requirements set forth by the U.S. Department of Education and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Our team of experts is here to help students receive a free and appropriate education in the least restrictive environment possible.

Although we welcome you and your child to our program, it is by referral only through the East San Gabriel Valley SELPA. Please contact your district office or your district special education office for more information and guidance about enrolling your child here.

     A Message from Our Principal

Dear Families,

It is my pleasure to work with elementary, middle and high school students. Our goal is to provide all students with a positive and rewarding experience. I look forward to supporting our growth as a resource and educational program for students and families who face the challenge of social emotional concerns.

Every child in the SEAS Program is important. Our entire team is dedicated to ensure that our programs are designed to help students succeed while promoting the skills and knowledge needed to play the game. Thank you for supporting your student and our program.
